Each spring, Miami Gardens transforms into a cultural epicenter where music, legacy, and community meet—and in 2026, Jazz in the Gardens (JITG) Music Festival is raising the bar yet again. Returning to Hard Rock Stadium on March 7–8, the 19th annual JITG promises one of its most electrifying lineups to date, blending timeless icons, contemporary chart-toppers, and rising stars into a weekend that celebrates the full spectrum of Black music and culture.
Hosted by the City of Miami Gardens and produced by the Black Promoters Collective (BPC), Jazz in the Gardens has earned its reputation as a must-attend national event. Recognized by Newsweek as one of the best festivals in the country and named Miami New Times’ Best Music Festival for 2025, JITG is more than a concert—it’s a cultural institution.
Headliners That Define Generations
This year’s lineup reads like a living soundtrack of Black musical excellence. Headlining Saturday, March 7, is Jhené Aiko, whose ethereal sound and deeply personal lyricism have made her one of the most influential R&B artists of her generation. Fresh off a highly acclaimed tour alongside Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller, Aiko brings a soulful, transcendent energy that resonates across generations.
Sunday, March 8, belongs to Ludacris, who will take center stage with a special 25th anniversary set celebrating his legendary career. Known for his commanding stage presence and era-defining hits, the Grammy-winning superstar is no stranger to viral moments. Following a recent anniversary celebration that featured surprise appearances from Usher, Fergie, Jermaine Dupri, and LL Cool J, Ludacris is poised to deliver one of the most talked-about performances in JITG history.
Joining them are Nelly and Ashanti, two of the most influential artists of the 2000s. Together, they bring a dynamic fusion of hip-hop and R&B, anchored by a catalog of chart-topping hits and unforgettable collaborations. Their joint appearance promises a high-energy, nostalgia-filled set that celebrates legacy, longevity, and undeniable star power.
Honoring the Architects of R&B and Soul
Adding even more depth to the 2026 lineup are three legendary acts whose music has shaped generations: The Isley Brothers, Stephanie Mills, and El DeBarge. With catalogs that span decades, these icons represent the foundation upon which modern R&B and soul were built. Their inclusion underscores JITG’s unique ability to honor the past while embracing the present.
From timeless love songs to socially conscious anthems, these artists remind audiences why Black music continues to be one of the most influential forces in global culture.
A Lineup as Diverse as the Culture It Celebrates
Beyond its headliners, Jazz in the Gardens 2026 offers a richly layered musical experience. Fans can look forward to performances by GloRilla, Ella Mai, Mýa, Joe, Syd, Pastor Mike Jr., Tonio Armani, King George, Boney James, and Damien Escobar—each bringing a distinct sound and perspective to the stage.
Festival favorites D-Nice & Friends return with appearances by SWV, Robin Thicke, Case, Sunshine Anderson, and cultural connector Kenny Burns, creating moments that feel part concert, part celebration, and part family reunion.
This intentional blend of legacy acts and contemporary voices has become JITG’s signature—and a key reason it continues to stand out in an increasingly crowded festival landscape.
Building on a Viral Legacy
The bar for 2026 is high, following a 2025 festival filled with viral moments and widespread acclaim. Coverage from People, Rolling Stone, VIBE, Black Enterprise, Blavity, and Bossip cemented JITG’s status as one of the nation’s premier live-music experiences. One of last year’s most talked-about moments—Doechii’s powerhouse performance during Lauryn Hill’s set—lit up social media and demonstrated the festival’s unmatched ability to create cultural moments in real time.
By continuing to spotlight both established icons and emerging stars, Jazz in the Gardens remains a mirror of contemporary Black culture—dynamic, evolving, and deeply rooted in history.
A Festival Rooted in Community
For the City of Miami Gardens, JITG is more than entertainment—it’s a source of pride and connection.
“Our community looks forward to Jazz in the Gardens every year because it brings people together in a powerful, joyful way,” said Mayor Rodney Harris. “This festival is a celebration of art, culture, and connection, and we are thrilled to welcome visitors from near and far for another incredible weekend in Miami Gardens.”
Troy Brown, Partner and Chief Marketing Officer of the Black Promoters Collective, echoed that sentiment. “Collaborating with the City of Miami Gardens to elevate JITG is an honor. We strive to push the festival’s creative boundaries, and the 2026 lineup reflects the depth and impact of Black music. This year will be exceptional.”
The Experience Beyond the Stage
Jazz in the Gardens is also known for its vibrant festival atmosphere—featuring top-tier food vendors, curated marketplace experiences, and a sense of community that extends far beyond the music. Set against the backdrop of Hard Rock Stadium in one of Florida’s most culturally rich cities, the festival offers an immersive experience that keeps fans returning year after year.
