During Women’s History Month, we celebrate women whose lives reflect the courage to evolve, lead with purpose, and transform their platforms into vehicles for empowerment. Few journeys embody that spirit more beautifully than that of Trish Standley.
Once known as an award-winning gospel recording artist, Standley has gracefully expanded her influence beyond music into a multifaceted life of service, creativity, and leadership. Today, she stands as a philanthropist, fashionpreneur, and media host who has transformed personal vision into platforms that uplift others. As the founder of Trysh’s Treasure and host of Trish Standley TV, she has moved from performing on stages to creating spaces where faith, healing, empowerment, and authentic storytelling can flourish.
For Standley, evolution has never meant leaving the past behind, it has meant allowing each chapter to refine the next. Her journey reflects a woman who chose alignment over applause and purpose over performance. Through fashion, media, and now the launch of her nonprofit initiative, Ahava Kinda Love, she continues to build platforms that encourage women to rise, heal, and embrace the fullness of their calling.
In this exclusive conversation with Vision & Purpose Magazine, Trish Standley reflects on the deeper meaning of vision, the courage required for reinvention, and how feminine leadership rooted in faith can create lasting impact for generations to come.
During Women’s History Month, we honor women who evolve with intention. Looking back at your journey from gospel recording artist to media visionary and fashionpreneur, how has your understanding of vision deepened over time?
Trish: Looking back, I don’t see a string of isolated chapters. I see a beautiful evolution — an inviting, ongoing conversation with life itself. I began as an independent gospel recording artist, believing vision meant having a dream and pursuing it with passion. Over time, my understanding of vision grew deeper and warmer. Vision isn’t only about what I see for myself; it’s about what God allows me to see for others as well. It carries responsibility because influence is a gift that must be stewarded. Today, through Trish Standley TV, I’m grateful to host a space where meaningful conversations rise to the surface — especially on topics that often go unheard in underserved communities. Vision now for me is about building platforms that empower others to rise, heal, and pursue purpose unapologetically, together.
The idea of “Power Without Armor” suggests strength rooted in healing rather than hardness. What did you have to unlearn about power in order to lead from wholeness?
Trish: The concept of “Power Without Armor” speaks to me on a personal level. For years, like many women, I believed power meant protecting myself at all costs, building emotional armor to shield against disappointment, rejection, and hardship. But real power isn’t found in hardness; it’s found in healing. I had to unlearn the idea that strength requires never showing vulnerability. True leadership invites transparency, grace, and growth. When you lead from wholeness rather than wounds, your influence becomes a source of restoration rather than resistance — and you feel that shift in how you relate to others and to yourself.
Through Trysh’s Treasure, you merge style with intentional messaging. How can fashion become an extension of spiritual alignment and personal purpose?
Trish: Through my fashion brand Trysh’s Treasures, I’ve discovered that fashion can be more than clothing. It’s a language of purpose. Every design, every piece, represents evolution and intention. Fashion becomes an extension of spiritual alignment when it reflects who you’re becoming, not who the world expects you to be. For me, style is storytelling. It gives women a way to express confidence, faith, and transformation without saying a word. When women wear pieces that echo their journey, fashion becomes a gentle reminder of their worth and their power.
With Trish Standley TV, you’ve created a platform that uplifts other women. Why is amplifying others an essential part of your purpose?
Trish: Creating Trish Standley TV was never just about hosting a show. It was about building a table where other women could be seen, heard, and celebrated. Amplifying the voices of others is essential to my purpose because no one rises alone. Throughout my own journey, there were women who encouraged me, prayed for me, and opened doors. Now it’s my responsibility to pass that generosity forward. Our show lives by the motto: “This is the place where the everyday woman reigns.” We tackle real issues that affect women daily — alopecia, entrepreneurship, menopause, chronic illness, caregiving, and more. These conversations remind us all that our stories matter and that our dreams remain valid, no matter the season.
As women continue to reclaim their voices and narratives, what message would you offer to those currently navigating reinvention?
Trish: To women who are navigating reinvention, my message is simple and intimate: give yourself permission to evolve. Life brings seasons of change, and sometimes they’re uncomfortable. Yet reinvention often makes our purpose clearer. Do not let fear, age, or past setbacks silence the vision inside you. You are not starting over; you are starting wiser. Your experiences aren’t limitations; they’re the tools that will shape your next chapter.
When your journey is viewed years from now, what do you hope it teaches about feminine leadership, faith, and building a life aligned with purpose?
Trish: When people look back on my journey years from now, I hope it reflects what feminine leadership truly is — leadership grounded in faith, compassion, collaboration, and authenticity. I hope it shows that a woman can build a life aligned with purpose without compromising her values or her voice. I want my journey to demonstrate that when a woman walks in faith and stays true to her calling, she can create impact not only for herself but for generations that follow.
Any exclusive news you would like to share with our readers at this time?
Trish: One exciting development I’m honored to share is the launch of my nonprofit organization, Ahava Kinda Love. This initiative will serve as an educational media platform, providing resources, conversations, and storytelling to uplift communities, particularly underserved ones. Our mission is simple but powerful: to give love away through education, empowerment, and meaningful dialogue. It will expand the work we are already doing through media by creating opportunities for deeper community engagement.
How can we keep up to date with you on social media?
