Celebrate the Inauguration of Wes Moore and Aruna Miller as Maryland's next Governor and Lieutenant Governor on Wednesday, January 18 at 7 PM at the Baltimore Convention Center! Featured are premier live performances and special guests, to include Maxwell, Dru Hill, and Raheem DeVaughn. The People's Inaugural Ball is poised to be an unforgettable celebration of Maryland and the incoming administration.

Doors open at 6:30pm, and the event will begin at 7:00pm. Attire is celebratory chic.

Moore will be sworn in as Maryland’s first Black governor. Only two other Black politicians have ever been elected governor in the United States, Virginia’s Douglas Wilder in 1989 and Deval Patrick of Massachusetts in 2006.


Aruna Miller will also be sworn in as the first Indian-American Lieutenant Governor of Maryland.
