Darric Boyd Recognized on the 2023 Forbes "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" List

Darric Boyd of Boyd Britton and Pope Wealth Management in Washington, D.C., has been recognized on the 2023 Forbes "Best -in-State" Wealth Advisors (#82).


There are 7,321 advisors on the Forbes/SHOOK Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list and each advisor has a track record of success over time, collectively managing nearly $11 trillion in assets. The rankings were compiled by SHOOK Research, which uses financial data and interviews candidates nominated by their firms.


The Top Wealth Advisor rankings are published annually. All advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years experience. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings.


About Darric Boyd


Since 1994, I’ve been privileged to assist referred individuals and non-profit organizations distinguished for their accomplishments and values.


In 2000, Darric Boyd founded The Boyd Britton Group, a national practice serving entrepreneurs, attorneys, physicians, families, corporate executives, sports and entertainment executives, non-profits, companies and pension plans.


Darric enjoys helping serve the greater good, having been an invited speaker and panelist at national conferences for non-profit organizations. Mr. Boyd is a lifetime member of the NAACP, and member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity Inc., University of Baltimore Entrepreneurial Advisory Board, and National Association of Security Professionals. He is a past advisor of the Boys Club of Central Maryland and founding member of the Alliance of Young Black Professionals.


Mr. Boyd is a Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® practitioner, Certified 401(k) Professional C(k)P® and holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™, AAMS™ and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor®, CPFA® designation. Prior to joining Merrill, he served as Vice President of Wealth Management at Smith Barney/Citigroup and Associate Vice President & Wealth Management Specialist at Legg Mason Wood Walker.


Darric is a graduate of the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, an Honors University.
