Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. observes Financial Fortitude Month each year in the month of April. This is a time when its members and its community can take a deeper dive into all things FINANCE! The Financial Fortitude initiative is comprised of ten components which include: Goal Setting, Financial Planning, Budgeting, Debt Management, Savings & Investments, Retirement Planning, Homeownership, Insurance, Estate Planning and Entrpreneurship.
This April started with a focus on entrepreneurship and the kick-off to the Delta Red Tank Pitch Competition, which highlights business owners and aspiring business owners that are creating innovative products and services that inspire and positively impact those in communities, nationally and globally.
The Delta Red Tank provides a platform that highlights the ideas and innovation of creatives, as well as advances the organization's National Program Planning and Development's Economic Development Subcommittee's initiative: Women's Small Business Entrepreneurship Program, which supports, promotes, and advances women and minority small businesses.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has recently announced the 22 Deltapreneurs who will be advancing to Round Two of the Delta Red Tank! The first round of judging for the Delta Red Tank concluded on May 2, 2023. More than 50 applicants submitted pitches, representing every region (Central, Eastern, Farwest, Midwest, South Atlantic, Southern, and Southwest).
The final competition will be live during the sorority's 56th National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana this July.
