After a year of planning, Founders, Karen McConnell-Jones, Dr. Sharon H. Porter, and the entire V&P team released their inaugural edition of Vision & Purpose (V&P) LifeStyle Magazine in their future headquarters, 1441 McCormick Drive, Largo, MD.
V&P Magazine is a bi-monthly community-based magazine. The magazine features a local perspective in the Washington, DC area, specifically, Prince George's County, MD, where its headquarters is located, but the magazine offers a global perspective as they capture stories and events in communities across the United States and beyond.
Chief Tiffany D. Green, the first woman fire chief in the history of the Prince George's County, MD Fire and EMS Department along with five (5) of her female firefighters graced the cover of this Special Inaugural Edition that launched during Women's History Month.
V&P Magazine features 12 columns, Inspirational Moments, Education Is Key, Business & Entrepreneurship, Health & Wellness, Political Awareness, Community Outreach, Authors Speak, Travel & Real Estate, All Things Fashion, Performing Arts, The Sports Report, and The 2NCs.
Also featured in the Inaugural edition from the Education is Key column are 10 Women Superintendents to Watch: Dr. Sharon L. Conterras, Dr. Tahira Dupree Chase, Dr. Mary L. Young, Dr. Diana Mitchell, Dr. Teresa Lance, Dr. Penelope DeLeon, Dr. Angela P. Hairston, Dr. Meria Carstarphen, Dr. Lory Morrow, and Dr. Sonja Santelises.
