Latoya D. Buchanan received her Bachelor of Science of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University in 2010.
She has been a Registered Nurse for 10 years in pediatrics, public health, home health, healthcare management and healthcare marketing. Although she will be certified to provide primary care throughout the lifespan, she returned to graduate school with a focus to empower women in preventative care so they may avoid costly, long-term health complications.
She resides in Johnston County, North Carolina with her three vivacious children.
Her motto is, “ As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously allow other people permission to do the same.”
